Derma roller is a form of micro needling that involves using a handheld roller covered with small micro needles to gently pierce and trauma the skin. Derma roller is good for helping acne scars, fading fine lines, evening out skin tone, and skin rejuvenation.

Needle length uses

0.25mm – Increased penetration of skin care products into the skin and overall improvement of skin colour and texture.

0.5mm – Wrinkles, anti-aging, light acne scarring, mild chicken pox or ice pick scars, also recommended for thinning hair.

1.0mm, 1.5mm – Deep stretch marks, cellulite, and deep scarring — 1.5mm is also the maximum needle length recommended for use on your face

2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm – For more severe cases, deep scars and wrinkles, rejuvenation of irreparably damaged skin

Derma roller is very safe and extremely effective with treating many different skin conditions and skin types. Full in-depth consultation and skin analysis will be conducted prior to the treatment.

Skin conditions: Eczema, Psoriasis, Acne cannot have Derma roller done.

Avoid skin resurfacing and hair removal treatments for 5-7 days

Pause the use of retinol A and other topic medications for 5-7 days

Reschedule if you have any apparent skin condition (cold sore, skin rash, bruising)

Results are long lasting, and skin will become visibly renewed after a couple of months.

Maintenance treatments are necessary to achieve maximum skin health.
